Home Screen

Your personalised dashboard for scanning, matching, and managing your paint collection.

Overview

The home screen is your central hub in Mixura. It provides quick access to all core features and displays your recent activity at a glance.

Top Bar

The top bar contains three elements:

Personalised Greeting

Below the top bar, you'll see a personalised greeting that uses your first name (if signed in). For example: "Marcus, ready to mix it up?"

If you're using the app as a guest, the greeting will read: "Artist, ready to mix it up?"

My Paints Section

A horizontal carousel showing your selected paint brands. Tap any brand card to browse that brand's full paint catalogue.

Each brand card shows the brand logo and the number of paints you own from that brand. Additional elements include:

My Palettes Section

A horizontal scroll showing your created palettes. Each palette card displays a preview of the colours it contains. Tap a palette to view its details.

My Scans Section

A grid of your recently scanned colours, showing thumbnail previews. Tap any scan to revisit its match results.

Action Buttons

At the bottom of the home screen, three large illustrated action buttons float above a white bar, providing quick access to Mixura's core features:

Button Colour Action
Snap Color Teal Opens the camera for real-time colour scanning
From Photo Indigo Opens your gallery to select a photo and extract colours from it
From Palette Orange Select a previously saved colour from one of your palettes and find new paint matches for it
💡 From Palette

The "From Palette" button opens a two-step selector: first choose a palette, then pick a colour from that palette. The selected colour is sent to the Match Results screen for matching.

Feature Tips (Coach Marks)

The first time you visit the home screen, guided tooltips automatically highlight each section. You can replay these tips at any time by tapping the help icon (top-left). See Settings to enable, disable, or reset feature tips.

From the home screen you can navigate to:

Light & Dark Mode

The home screen automatically adapts to your system's light or dark mode setting, or respects your manual theme choice in Settings.
