What is Mixura?
Mixura is a mobile app for Artists that matches any colour in the real world to commercially available Artist paints. Using your phone's camera or a photo from your own albums, Mixura identifies the closest paint matches and mixes from over 2,600 paints across 16 professional brands — covering acrylics, oils, watercolours, and gouache.
Download Mixura
Mixura is available on both iOS and Android:
- iOS: Download from the App Store (requires iOS 11.0 or later)
- Android: Download from Google Play (requires Android 7.0 / API 24 or later)
First Launch & Onboarding
When you first open Mixura, you'll be guided through a brief onboarding that highlights the app's core value:
- Stop Wasting Money See how Mixura helps you find the right paint the first time, saving you from buying paints that don't match.
- Match Client Colours Learn how to use the camera to scan any colour reference and find the exact professional paint match.
- Use What You Own Discover smart mixing recommendations that use paints already in your collection.
You can swipe through these slides or tap Skip at any time to proceed directly to sign-in.
Creating Your Account
After onboarding, you'll be prompted to create an account. Signing in enables cloud sync and unlocks Pro features when subscribed.
Sign-in Methods

Apple Sign-In is only available on iOS devices. Android users can use Google Sign-In or email/password instead.
Guest Mode
You can skip sign-in by tapping "Skip". In guest mode you can still scan colours and view results, but you won't be able to:
- Save palettes or scanned colours
- Track paint ownership
- Sync data across devices
- Subscribe to Pro features
Email Account
If you choose email sign-in:
- Enter a valid email address
- Create a password (minimum 6 characters)
- Toggle between Sign In and Create Account as needed
- Use Forgot Password to receive a reset email
